YCC’s Annual Thanksgiving Celebration 2020

We are so grateful for our community partner Northern Illinois Food Bank for providing a full Thanksgiving dinner including a whole turkey, potatoes, cranberry sauce and more to each of our YCC members today.

Due to social distancing considerations, our annual Thanksgiving Party took place mostly outside this time around. That didn’t stop Mayor of Waukegan Sam Cunningham and Waukegan Aldermen: Dr. Sylvia Sims Bolton, Edith Newsome, Roudell Kirkwood, Keith Turner, and Felix Riviera from turning out for YCC! Each of them shared their wisdom about leadership, goal setting, career paths, personal growth, and more.

Full Thanksgiving dinners were donated to our YouthBuild Members and their families from Northern Illinois Food Bank. The meal kit included a 12-15 lb turkey, potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce!
