To honor the memories of those who lost their lives in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, PA on September 11, 2001, Youth Conservation Corps members provided volunteer assistance at Midwest Veterans Closet in North Chicago this past Monday.
As part of AmeriCorps’ 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance, YouthBuild members and staff helped by sorting donated clothing, providing site and lawn maintenance, and assisting drivers who were dropping off items to donate.
One of the primary aims of AmeriCorps is to provide service to the community, and YCC members deliver community service all year…we are PROUD TO SERVE.
