YCC offers a full-time salary, robust benefits, and a salary range of $48,000 – $51,000.

Under the
supervision of the Program Director, the Workforce Readiness and Placement
Manager is the primary point of contact for placement and follow-up services
for members. The Workforce Readiness and
Placement Manager develops and maintains relationships with employer partners
and identifies placement opportunities for members. This role serves as the primary contact with
alumni and initiates and maintains regular contact with members throughout
their follow-up year. The Workforce
Readiness and Placement Manager provides a key role in working with members
throughout their active programming to identify strengths and career interests
to work towards a successful placement. Through
the YouthBuild program, this role is referred to as the Job Developer.
Primary Responsibilities |
·
Prepare and deliver a placement and career readiness
curriculum designed to prepare members to have the skills necessary for
long-term employability.
·
Work with members to develop personal and
professional goals related to career readiness.
Monitor and provide updates to goals throughout members’ participation.
·
Maintain strong recording and reporting practices of engagement
with members, including member contact and employment documentation.
·
Secure employment documentation from members during
active programming and follow-up year.
·
Complete accurate and timely entries into databases
with assigned data.
·
Provide relevant information for mid-term and end of
term evaluations of members. Participate
in youth conferences as necessary to ensure that members are aware of their
individual performance and can maintain steady progress to complete the program
and achieve their goals.

Participate in orientation and Mental Toughness
activities to better determine career goals and career readiness of potential
members.
·
Participate in weekly case management and program meetings,
providing information as necessary to ensure strong communication on issues
impacting members and their success in the program.

Actively participate in recruitment and retention
activities of members.
·
Perform special projects and other related duties as
assigned.

by YCC.
External: Members, Department of Labor, IL YouthBuild Coalition,
general public, job centers, employment centers, regulatory and licensing
agencies, county, state and federal representatives and all organizations that
interact with YCC.
Professional Background and Qualifications |
Education
A minimum of bachelor’s
degree in business, workforce development, youth development or other relevant
area of study.
Experience
and Qualifications
·
A minimum of two years working with youth (16
-24 years old)
·
A minimum of two years business background,
developing jobs
·
Successful completion of criminal background
checks, including but not limited to fingerprinting, National Sex Offender
Public Website (NSOPW) and state police background check
Skills and Capabilities |
·
Ability to read, write and communicate
effectively in English
·
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
·
Ability to work cooperatively within a
multi-program, multi-grant funded environment
·
Ability to communicate clearly and
professionally, both orally and in writing
·
Ability to work independently, maintaining
strong attention to detail and managing workload
·
Possess extensive experience in Excel (required).
Strong skills in Microsoft Office platform and the ability to learn and
independently use a variety of databases and reporting systems.

Ability to manage people and contribute to a
culture of teamwork.
Physical Abilities |
·
Ability to lift and/or move at least 20 pounds
using proper body mechanics
·
Visual acuity to read a computer screen and
other documents
·
Ability to utilize a telephone and respond to
callers
Additional Duties |
·
Develop an understanding of YouthBuild and
AmeriCorps programs and philosophy and be able to effectively communicate that
to potential members and their families.
·
Participate in recruitment activities and assist
in answering questions regarding the YCC programs.
- Maintain confidentiality of member information
as it relates to the program.
- Demonstrate respect for all members.
·
Actively participate in organization and program
staff meetings.
·
Establish collaborative relationships with
members of the program staff team to ensure that employment documentation needs
are met.
