We had the honor of having State Senator Adrienne Johnson and State Representative Rita Mayfield on a site visit of YCC and YouthBuild Lake County on October 26th, 2022.
The purpose of the visit was to thank these two outstanding State Government leaders for their support in Springfield.
They were instrumental in getting the Illinois YouthBuild Coalition (IYC) funding for the past few years, and doubled it from $2.5 Million in 2022 to $5 Million in 2023!
The day consisted of visits to our construction sites, tours of our respective facilities, and culminating in a reception honoring Senator Johnson and Representative Mayfield for all their work on behalf of IYC.
Their support in Springfield allows us to continue to empower and mentor young adults in Lake County, IL.
