Join us for an afternoon watch party, pizza, and beer at Mickey Finn’s, celebrating the achievements of YCC members in earning construction industry credentials and building their own paths to success.
Build, Brews, Bears celebrates YCC’s YouthBuild Waukegan program.
YCC empowers and mentors young adults, ages 16-24, to succeed through education and training in life skills, career pathways, and environmental stewardship. Young adults are welcomed into an inclusive, supportive learning environment where their voices and ideas contribute to a more vibrant community. The staff work with them to remove barriers and offer a fresh start for young adults to pursue their education and career goals. Each young adult has an opportunity for a real-world work experience in a high-demand occupation. The real impact happens when YCC’s alumni return to mentor the next group of young adults to fuel a cycle of empowerment.
